I return from my wanderings of the warp...
Inquisitor Kill Team by GuitaRasmus from the Bolter & Chainsword - This promising collection of assorted warriors and henchmen is a great tribute to the work of John Blanche.
Nurgmlinator by Jeff Vader from Officio Convertorum - Jeff's growing NurgleWarband constantly reminds me of why I want to collect a small force of Plague Marines. There are just so many possibilities when it comes to building and painting the children of Papa Nurgle...
The Minotaurs by Lorenzen from the Bolter & Chainsword - Continuing at a slow, but steady pace we get to see some more of Lorenzen's stunning Minotaurs. I particularity like the look of the black strip down the helmet.

While I was off in the warp the interwebz continued to churn out amazing miniatures and useful tutorials. Although I had access to the interwebz, I have never been able to get blogger to reliably work on my iPad. So unfortunately there was no way share them with my Imaginary Friends. So today I've decided to go back and find some of them...
Heresy Era Imperial Fists by Corai from the Bolter & Chainsword - The vibrancy of the yellow makes it hard to imagine. But Corai's Imperial Fists are actually metallic...
Rogue Trader Conversion by Andy Hoare from Tales from the Maelstrom - This isn't the first conversion that I've instantly fallen in love with from Mr Hoare. His Inquisitor is just as awesome. Took me a while to realise that the body actually comes from the new Tempestus Scions box set.
Commisar WiP by Henry South from Four Go to War - One of my favourite miniatures from the relatively new clamp-pack sets that Games Workshop has started to release. Mr South has given this miniature some great justice and I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't show up at the next UK Golden Daemons.
How to Create Newspaper by Roman from Massive Voodoo - It's the year of the painter over on Massive Voodoo. Which means that they are hitting out tutorials on an alarmingly frequent rate. So quickly in fact that it wouldn't be practical for me to do a post for each of them such as the review on ModelMates' Verdigris or the tutorial on Airbrush Masking. So instead here is one for the post-apocalypse fans.
Deathwatch Strike Force by Rob451 from the Bolter & Chainsword - I doubt there are many Warhammer 40K fans out there that don't like female Inquisitors in form fitting power armour. But to see one in bulky power armour is something new. And yet, it works perfectly fine...

The new edition of Warhammer 40K is upon us. When reliable rumours started to surface along with pictures I found my hobby drive return to me. Between work and wife I've slowly turned my bare plastic and metal army into something with colour. Pictures will be posted eventually...
Silver and Leather by Henry South from Four Go to War - The talented henry South shares some of his insight into painting metallics and leather. This approach to painting leather produces some amazing results and is something I've seen on the interwebz before.
The Red Baron by Cagn from Blog de Kouzes - This is a deeply involved conversion that just screams character. Can easily imagine it in an Eldar Corsair raiding party.
Showcase: Treeman Ancient by Third Eye Nuke from Tale of Painters - Although TEN's style of painting lacks some of the the advance techniques used by other painters, these miniatures just pop in a very unique way. The approach used here is just perfect. It gives the miniature a very ethereal feel.
Do Not Miss by Volomir from Volomir's Blog - Some great articles and tutorials that really can't be missed for those looking to improve their painting or just after some inspiration.
Next week I'll have a look at compiling some of the reviews of this new edition from the more competitive players such as over on The Pinktastic Blog as well as TastyTaste's thoughts.

Grey Knights by Hexagon Sun from the Bolter & Chainsword - Of all the miniatures produced by Games Workshop over the years the Dreadknight is hands down my least favourite. It is safe to say I hate the miniature. In part it's because of the actually design with the harness on the front... stupid design and concept. Just doesn't fit into the Grey Knight imagery. But. This Dreadknight looks amazing. I love the weathering...
Carcharodon Astra by Talonatryu from the Bolter & Chainsword - While the Dreadknight is probably my least favourite miniature, the Contemptor Dreadnought is one of my favourites. It is everything the Dreadknight should have been. Talonatryu's Dreadnought pictured below helps to show why. It looks suitably brutal and intimidating...

Sons of Dorn by War Head from the Bolter & Chainsword - I absolutely love this miniature. From the pose to the weathering. Especially the use of black as a spot colour. looking forward to further posts by War Head...
In Memoriam by 1000Heathens from the Bolter & Chainsword - Despite the other participants from this awesome Horus Heresy thread not producing anything recently, we continue to get some Iron Warrior goodness thanks to Heathens. The below conversion just rocks.

Music Monday - Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Lorde
This is the song playing in the background of the latest instalment to the Assassin's Creed series... a series that I enjoy playing but have never been able to finish due to loss of interest. Something that can be said for almost all of my Xbox & PlayStation games.

I'm in the Blue Mountains today for the upcoming Winter Magic Festival this weekend. The folk from the mountains are often consider weird and wacky. So with that theme in mind I've found some Orks to share...
Eul Grot'Bizar! by le kouzes from Le Blog de Kouzes - Although this gretchin' isn't an Ork, it is still worth showing off. Such a brilliant collection of bitz from different kits.
Orks Gorkanaut by TEN from Tale of Painters - It is amazing just how fast TEN can build and paint miniatures. But then the style helps. I much prefer this more muted and weathered look compared to the vibrant 'Eavy Metal paint job...

Completed 2nd Edition Boxed Set by Garfy from Tale of Painters - I wasn't a member of our little hobby back during 2nd Edition. I was aware of it with my dad pointing it out to me at the shops... however, was too young to be interested at the time. But seeing a completely built and painted set using modern colours is just awesome.
Three New Dwarfs Painted by RuneCast from RuneCast Blog - Now the stunties aren't Orks or even Orcs. But whether it's the Fantasy Dwarves or the Nid-Eaten Squats there is no denying that the imagery of them fighting big green monsters just works...

Adepta Sororitas & Inquisition Vehicles by EoE from Eye of Error - I'm not sure about my imaginary friends, but Forge World's Avenger looks freakin' bad-ass. I especially like the background of it being popular amongst Sisters of Battle.
Wood Elves Wild Riders by TEN from Tale of Painters - Some more of TEN's Wood Elves in the form of one of Games Workshop's latest multi-purpose kits. Almost hard to imagine that this same kit is used to make some very feminine miniatures...
Step-by-Step Dwarf Slayer by Roman from Massive Voodoo - This tutorial is full of some great links as well as some insight into the mind of a Slayer Sword winner. Well worth the read...
Sons of Horus Fire Raptor WiP by EoE from Eye of Error - I have a Storm Eagle sitting in a box waiting for a day that I particularly want to make myself frustrated. After that this will be my next big Forge World purchase. Seeing EoE's bare plastic and resin miniature hits home just how imposing this miniature would look on the table top.

The Fall of Seraph by JackDaw from the Bolter & Chainsword - This looks to be a very promising thread with a mix of inspiring background stories and clever mix of bits.
Painting Space Hulk Genestealer by Tyler Mengel from Mengel Miniatures - Such a striking colour scheme that could easily be repeated across a horde of 'Nids.

Necron Tomb Stalker by Tyler M. from Mengel Miniatures - I've always been a fan of Tyler Mengel's miniatures. All the way back to his Sons of Dorn that featured in White Dwarf. This conversion is no different. I am particularly interested in the graphite appearance that he has achieved.
The Deaconess by Lasgun Packer from Pinterest - This is such an awesome conversion. There aren't enough female miniatures in our small hobby. And nearly all of those that we do have are out of proportion which makes some sense in a future that has gene-enhanced soldiers and servants. Can find more Inquisimunda styled conversion over on Pinterest.
Night Goblin Boss on Arabyan Carpet by Xoxtile from Tale of Painters - Cute isn't the sort of word used in game clubs across the word. Especially, not for the vile Night Goblins. But when I imagine a flying carpet I picture the one from Aladdin.
Simple Undead Paint Scheme by Rob from Games Workshop: Belfast - Such as simple, yet effective colour scheme for an undead army.

Mechanicum Thanatar by Dave Taylor from Dave Taylor Miniatures - These pictures by Dave Taylor help illustrate just how much of a beast this miniature is. She Who Must Be Obeyed has told me no new miniatures until I've finished what I've already started. But once I have this will be one of the things I get myself.
Calth by Doghouse from the Bolter & Chainsword - I don't think Doghouse really needs any introductions for members of our little corner of the interwebz. His 'true-scale' miniatures have inspired others to copy him and now he is back with some Word Bearers painted up in a dark red that makes me think of blood.
...and doom shall stalk a thousand worlds by Brother Molokai from the Bolter & Chainsword - The start of Molokai's thread has a heavily weathered Death Guard Contemptor in all it's treacherous glory. However ,it's the Work-in-progress photo in his latest post that really interests me as it focuses not only on the chipping effect but also the oil stains running down all of the rivets. The followers of Nurgle have so much fun when it comes to applying weathering effects.

Imperial Knight Pilot by Max from CoolMiniOrNot - Came across this Knight House heraldry thanks to Inquisitor Engel over on the Bolter & Chainsword. Another Household to consider when I start collecting Knight Titans. Can see more pictures in the link to CoolMiniOrNot as well as some designer notes over on Stockholm Warpaint.
Sculting Skull Icon by Tyler Mengel from Mengel Miniatures - I'm increasingly finding that I lack the patiences to work with green stuff, despite all of the tutorials that I have read and included in my Weekly Find posts. I understand the general concepts/principles of using epoxy to sculpt details... maybe, this will be another starting point.

Alpha Legion Praetor and Apothecaries by Marc Raley from Marc Raley Miniatures - I stumbled across this blog by chance thanks to Dave Taylor. The entire blog is full of some great conversions and painting. I particularly like the three conversions below as they are all so simple yet full of character. Can see an example of the work-in-progress of one of the apothecaries here.
More Thallax by Dave Taylor from Dave Taylor Miniatures - Yet more of Dave Taylor's bronze army. I'm sure that there are others equally jealous of this growing collection of resin goodness.
Orgotts Daemonspew by Dan Harden from What's New Today - I remember once upon a time Games Workshop had free articles on converting and painting unique miniatures/armies. They even had free rules for wacky conversions and campaigns. Those aren't gone... they just come in the form of supplements and expansions a.k.a micro-transactions. Instead we have these amazing Youtube videos that go into great detail on how to paint some of the latest miniatures... yet the haters still hate.
